Saginaw River Passage - July 10, 2025: American Courage
American Courage was inbound the Saginaw River on Thursday, carrying a split cargo for the Wirt Stone Docks in Bay City and Saginaw. On her way in, she passed her fleet mate, H. Lee White, backed into the slip at Port Fisher, unloading there for Bay Aggregates. After unloading overnight, American Courage was outbound Friday morning. She had a little excitement passing through Downtown Bay City when Liberty Bridge was unable to open, causing her to have to stop for approximately 30 minutes until Liberty could be opened for her. Once back underway, American Courage passed another fleet mate, Olive L. Moore/Menominee, waiting at the Bay City Wirt Dock for her to clear so they could head up to Saginaw to finish unloading at Saginaw Wirt. Photos taken 7/10/25 and captured in accordance with all FAA regulations and airspace restrictions.
