Robert S. Pierson was outbound on the Saginaw River after finishing an unload at the Burroughs North-1st Street Dock and turning in the Sixth Street Turning Basin. Fleetmates Olive L. Moore/Menominee waited at the ACE-Saginaw Asphalt - Crow Island Dock, where they had just finished unloading, for the Pierson to pass. Once clear, Olive L. Moore/Menominee headed upriver to the U.S. Paving and Stone Materials Dock in Carrollton to finish their unload. Photos taken 5/25/25
Interesting note: In the distance you can see the smoke from a large brush fire behind a business on Veterans Memorial Parkway. Firefighters from the City of Saginaw and Buena Vista Fire Departments responded and you can see the smoke change and diminish once they get water on the fire.
