Saginaw River Passage - August 31, 2025: Tug Kathy Lynn

The tug Kathy Lynn was back on the Saginaw River early Sunday morning, delivering another mud scow to the Saginaw Upper Dredged Material Disposal Facility in Zilwaukee Township.  You can see in some of the photos, Ryba Marine has run suction pipe down the access road to the disposal area in preparation for unloading dredging spoils there.  Also of note, the tug Kathy Lynn had received the same paint scheme as Thomas R. Morrish, with the red paint replaced with black.  I have included a photo from 2020 for reference.  She is looking good!  Photos taken 8/31/25

Saginaw River Passage - August 28, 2025: Olive L. Moore/Menominee

Olive L. Moore/Menominee were back on the Saginaw River Thursday morning, logging their 20th trip to the river this season.  They pair made the turn into the Port Fisher Slip in Bay City to unload for Bay Aggregates.  They are also my most photographed boat of the season, capturing them 11 times of the 20.  Photos taken 8/28/25 

Saginaw River Passage - August 27, 2025: Algoma Intrepid

Algoma Intrepid on the Saginaw River, unloading at the Wirt Sand and Stone Fertilizer Dock in Essexville after arriving just under 24 hours ago.  This was a long unload for them and it is possible they may be dealing with a sticky potash cargo.  Photos taken 8/27/25

Saginaw River Passage - August 26, 2025: Algoma Intrepid

Algoma Intrepid arrived on the Saginaw River just after sunrise on Tuesday, calling on the Wirt Sand and Stone Fertilizer Dock in Essexville to unload into the large dome.  Photos taken 8/26/25

Saginaw River Passage - August 23, 2025: Olive L. Moore/Menominee

Olive L. Moore/Menominee arrived Saturday morning, marking her 20th trip of the season to the Saginaw River.  The pair passed straight through the lower river, headed up to Saginaw to unload.  Photos taken 8/23/25
