Saginaw River Passage - July 17, 2025: Northern Venture

Northern Venture was inbound the Saginaw River Thursday afternoon, delivering a split load, stopping first at the Wirt Sand and Stone Dock in Essexville, then continuing upriver to finish unloading at the Wirt Stone Dock in Saginaw.  This was Northern Venture's third trip to the Saginaw River in the past nine days, all being spilt cargos, unloading at docks in Essexville and Saginaw.  Photos taken 7/17/25

Saginaw River Passage - July 16, 2025: Robert S. Pierson

Robert S. Pierson was back on the Saginaw River Wednesday afternoon with another split load for Essexville and Saginaw.  She stopped first at the Wirt Sand and Stone Dock in Essexville for a partial unload, then headed upriver to finish unloading at the Wirt Stone Dock in Saginaw.  Photos taken on 7/16/25

Saginaw River Passage - July 15, 2025

Nothern Venture arrived on the Saginaw River Tuesday morning, calling on the Wirt Sand and Stone Dock in Essexville.  After unloading a partial cargo there, she will head upriver to Saginaw to finish her unload.  Photos taken 7/15/25

Saginaw River Passage - July 14, 2025: Robert S. Pierson

Robert S. Pierson arrived on the Saginaw River late Sunday night, stopping at the Wirt Sand & Stone Dock in Essexville to drop a partial load.  She then continued upriver Monday morning, calling on the Wirt Stone Dock in Saginaw to finish unloading.  Robert S. Pierson then turned in the Sixth Street Basin and was back outbound for the lake Monday afternoon.  Photos taken 7/14/25

 

Saginaw River Passage - July 13, 2024: Olive L. Moore/Menominee

Olive L. Moore/Menominee were inbound the Saginaw River on Sunday evening, headed to the upper river to unload at the Wirt Stone Dock in Saginaw.  The pair finished their unload and were outbound Monday morning.  Photos taken 7/13/25
