Saginaw River Passage - May 31st

The tug Dorothy Ann, and her barge, Pathfinder, called on the Saginaw River Tuesday afternoon. Carrying a split cargo, the pair unloaded at both the Bay City and Saginaw Wirt Stone docks. They were expected to be outbound late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning.

Saginaw River Vessel Passages - May 13th to May 15th

Traffic on the Saginaw River has been steady the past three days, with the arrival of a tug/barge vessel each day. Friday saw the Olive L. Moore-Lewis J. Kuber unloading at the Bay Aggregates dock in Bay City. Dorothy Ann-Pathfinder entered the river on Saturday with a split cargo, unloading at the Bay City and Saginaw Wirt Stone Docks. Sunday morning brought the Samuel de Champlain - Innovation, unloading at the Lafarge Cement dock in Essexville.

Saginaw River Passages - May 6th & 7th

Friday morning saw the heavy lift vessel, HAPPY RANGER, calling on the Port Fisher dock in Bay City.  She arrived with a cargo of wind turbine blades for a local wind farm project.  After finishing her unload, HAPPY RANGER departed the dock early Saturday evening, and was headed outbound on the Saginaw River for the lake.

Saturday evening also saw the arrival of the OLIVE L. MOORE - LEWIS J. KUBER, calling on the Wirt Stone Dock in Bay City, to unload.  Once finished, the pair traveled upriver to the Airport Turning Basin, turned, and were outbound for the lake, early Sunday morning.

Saginaw River Passages - May 3rd & 4th

Saginaw was inbound on the Saginaw River on Tuesday, delivering a split cargo to the Burroughs North dock in Essexville and the Buena Vista Dock in Saginaw.  After unloading, she was outbound for the lake Wednesday morning.  This was Saginaw's first visit to her namesake river since 2014, when she delivered a cargo to the Buena Vista dock on June 20th.
John J. Boland was inbound Wednesday afternoon, calling on the Bay Aggregates dock in Bay City.  The Boland was still at the dock as of 9:30pm, and was expected to be outbound later in the night.
The tug Olive L. Moore, and her self unloading barge, Lewis J. Kuber, made their first visit of the Season to the Saginaw River, Wednesday afternoon.  The pair traveled to the upper river, stopping at the Burroughs dock in Zilwaukee to unload.  They were expected to be outbound late Wednesday or early Thursday morning.

Saginaw River Passages - April 2016

For the month of April, there were four commercial vessel deliveries on the Saginaw River. This number is down one passage from April of 2015 and down two from the five year average of six commercial vessel passages. For total vessel passages, year to date, there have been 5. This is down 3 from the same period last year, and down 1 as compared to the five year average.
