Saginaw River Passage - May 26, 2022

The tug Leonard M., pushing the barge Huron Spirit, arrived on the Saginaw River overnight and was unloading at the Port Fisher/Bay Aggregates Dock in Bay City on Thursday. This is the first time since 2016 that the Leonard M. has been on the Saginaw River. The Sharon M I has been the usual tug pushing the Huron spirit for the past few years.

The tug Candace Elise, with her tank barge Robert F. Deegan, arrived at the Port Fisher Terminals dock in Bay City to unload on Tuesday.

Saginaw River Passage - May 22, 2022

The saltwater vessel Nunalik was inbound on the Saginaw River late Sunday morning, headed for the Port Fisher Terminals Dock in Bay City. She was assisted to the dock by the G tug Michigan. Nunalik was carrying a deck cargo of two motor yachts, one from Turkey and one from England. After unloading, Nunalik was outbound from the Saginaw River early Monday morning.

Saginaw River Passage - May 12, 2022

Thursday morning saw first time Saginaw River visitor, Charlie, inbound on the Saginaw River for the Port Fisher Terminals Dock in Bay City. Charlie is a newly built vessel for dShip Carriers. She was assisted by the Malcolm Marine Tug, Manitou.

Saginaw River Passages - May 7, 2022

Algoma Intrepid and Alpena both arrived on the Saginaw River less than an hour apart on Saturday. Algoma Intrepid made her second visit of the season to the Wirt Essexville Fertilizer Terminal and Alpena made her first visit of the year to the Holcim Cement Dock in Essexville.

Saginaw River Passage - May 6, 2022

Friday saw Paul R. Tregurtha arriving on the Saginaw River to unload coal at Consumers Energy in Essexville. PRT remained at Consumers as of Saturday morning, presumably due to strong northerly winds overnight, as well as Algoma Intrepid and Alpena both inbound late Saturday morning.

Saginaw River Passage - May 5, 2022

H. Lee White was inbound Thursday afternoon, heading up the Saginaw River to unload at the Port Fisher/Bay Aggregates Dock in Bay City.  This is the first visit of the season to the Saginaw River for H. Lee White.

Saginaw River Passages - May 3rd & 4th

There were a number of vessel passages on the Saginaw River Tuesday.  Laura L. VanEnkevort/Joseph H. Thompson were inbound early in the morning, calling on the GM Dock in Saginaw to unload.  The pair were followed a few hours later by Olive L. Moore/Menominee who stopped at the Burroughs/Levy Dock in Zilwuakee, then traveled up to the Saginaw Rock Products/Burroughs Saginaw Dock to finish unloading.  Saginaw was inbound on her namesake river Tuesday afternoon, bringing in a split cargo for the Port Fisher/Bay Aggregates Dock in Bay City and the GM Dock in Saginaw.  The U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Hollyhock arrived on Saginaw Bay Tuesday morning and began working aids to navigation in the Saginaw River Entrance channel.
