Algoma Intrepid inbound on the Saginaw River for the Wirt Sand and Stone Dock in Essexville. She was passed at the dock by the outbound Olive L. Moore - Menominee, who had unloaded overnight at Port Fisher/Bay Aggregates in Bay City and Saginaw Asphalt/Buena Vista Dock in Saginaw.

The pair were delayed for a short time between the Independence and Lake State Railway Bridges for a passing train.
