2019 Shipping Season on the Saginaw River has Started

The 2019 Commercial Shipping Season began on the Saginaw River Monday morning with the arrival of the 1000 foot long, self-unloading vessel, American Integrity.  She called on the Consumers Energy Dock in Essexville to unload coal around 10:00am.  The arrival of American Integrity starts the season 10 days later than the 2018 season and marks the first time since 2009, when Manitowoc was the first vessel of that season, that a non tug/barge combo opened the season.
