There were a total of 20 commercial vessel passages on the Saginaw River during the month of September. This number represents an increase of five vessel passages over the same time period in 2016, and three more passages than the five year average of 17.
For the year to date, there have been 97 commercial vessel passages. This is a huge increase from last year, when there were only 75 at the end of September. It is also above the 5-year average of 90 passages.
