Saginaw River Passages - June 7th

There was a flurry of activity on the Saginaw River during the afternoon Tuesday.  Algoway, who had arrived overnight and unloaded at the Bay Aggregates Dock in Bay City, backed out of the slip and tied up across the river at the Lafarge Cement Dock.   There, she waited for the inbound tug, Leonard M and barge, Huron Spirit, to enter the slip that they had just vacated.  Once Leonard M - Huron Spirit were safely in the slip to unload, the Harbour Fashion, assisted by the tug Gregory J. Busch, departed the Port Fisher Fertilizer Dock, where they had finished unloading overnight.  She turned in the Essexville Basin, and departed for the lake.  Once Harbour Fashion was clear of the waiting Algoway, the Gregory J Busch then assisted her off the Lafarge Dock so she could finally make her way out of the river.
