Saginaw River Report - April 2023
There
were a total of 10 commercial vessel passages on the Saginaw River for the
month of April 2023, with 10 different docks receiving 13 separate deliveries
of product, accounting for split cargos delivered to multiple docks. This represents two fewer passages than in
April 2022, and is one less than the 5-year average of 11 passages, but more
than the 10-year average of 7, and the 15-year average of 8 vessel passages.
For the total number of commercial vessel passages for the year-to-date, the number is again 12. This number is the same as the total from last year at this point. Looking at the averages, it is again a decrease compared to the 5-year average of 11 passages, but an increase over the 10-year average of 8 passages, and the 15-year average of 9 vessel passages.
