Mark W. Barker, a Saginaw River favorite, on the St. Clair River, headed for Lake Huron at the Blue Water Bridge. This was the third boat I was able to photograph this trip.

St. Clair River/Port Huron Trip: CSL Assiniboine - November 10, 2024
CSL Assiniboine on the St. Clair River, passing under the Blue Water Bridge on her way to Lake Huron.
St. Clair River/Port Huron Trip: Arthur M. Anderson - November 10. 2024
I recently took a trip to the Port Huron area to do a little photography. The first vessel I was able to catch was the classic Arthur M. Anderson. This is very significant. In all of my years following and photographing boats, I have never photographed the Anderson, or even saw her in person. To see her for the very first time, on the anniversary of the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald, well lets just say it was a pretty special thing for me.
Saginaw River Passage - November 12, 2024: Kimberly Joy
Kimberly Joy on the Saginaw River, tied up at the Holcim Cement dock in Essexville. Note the name recently painted on the wheelhouse. She is still my favorite tug, but she will always be Manitou to me.
