Saginaw River Passages - August 4th, 5th, & 6th

On August 4th, the duo of Olive L. Moore - Lewis JKuber called on the Saginaw river with a split cargo.  The pair unloaded at the Burroughs North dock in Essexville and the Lafarge Stone dock in Saginaw.  On Monday the 5th, the tug Defiance and barge Ashtabula called on the Bay Aggregates dock in Bay City to unload.  The tug Gregory J. Busch, pushing a deck barge, was outbound from the river on Monday.  Tuesday the 6th saw the arrival of the Samuel de Champlain - Innovation, who unloaded at the Lafarge Cement dock in Essexville and Indiana Harbor, who unloaded at the Consumers Energy dock in Essexville.

  1. Hey Todd thanks so much for all the updates you post for traffic on the saginaw river. Just wondering is dreadjing still going on in the river? Also have they dreadjed up at the sixth street turning basin yet or have plans to do so,so the boats dont have to keep backing down from saginaw and turn at the airport turning basin? Thanks so much for any information. Dan McNeil

    A crew from Luedtke is dredging up there at Sixth Street right now. They have been up there a few weeks so far, so hopefully, the basin will be ready to use soon!
