There
were a total of 17 commercial vessel passages on the Saginaw River for the
month of September, with 10 different docks receiving 23 separate deliveries of
product, accounting for split cargos delivered to multiple docks. This represents eleven fewer passages than in
September 2020, and is less than all of the long term averages, being the
5-year average of 22 passages, 10-year average of 19, and 15-year average of 20
passages.
For the total number of commercial vessel passages for the year-to-date, the number is 117. This number represents a decrease of 33 passages over the total from last year at this point. Looking at the averages, it is a decrease as well, compared to the 5-year average of 119 passages, 10-year average of 104, and the 15-year average of 113 passages.
