Calcite Mine - Rogers City Michigan

I get asked often: "Where do the boats that visit to the Saginaw River load?" One of the larger places is the Calcite Quarry, located on the South side of Rogers City, MI. It is said to be the world's largest limestone quarry. On a recent trip, I was able to photograph the area and catch Calumet loading there. Photos taken 8/14/25
