Saginaw River Passage - November 9, 2025: American Mariner

American Mariner arrived on the Saginaw River early Sunday evening, backing into the slip at Port Fisher to unload for Bay Aggregates.  Conditions at the time included a sustained wind out of the north at 26 knots (about 30 mph) with gusts over 35 knots (about 40mph), and lake-effect snow squalls.  It was very impressive to watch the Captain and crew of American Mariner bring the boat nearly broadside to the wind and back her into the narrow slip without an issue.  I had really hoped to fly the drone to capture this, but it was beyond the level of risk I was willing to take.  So, here is a mix of DSLR and handheld drone photos.   Photos taken 10/9/25
