Saginaw River Passages - September 7th -9th

Calumet was back on the Saginaw River late Tuesday night, with another cargo for the GM dock in Saginaw. She completed her unload and was outbound on Wednesday. Thursday morning saw the arrival of the American Mariner, who called on the Consumers Energy dock in Essexville to unload coal. This dock is usually serviced by the 1000 footers, so the Mariner's visit is a little unusual. Algorail was also inbound early Thursday, stopping at the Buena Vista dock and the GM dock, both in Saginaw. After unloading, Algorail was outbound Thursday night, and once she had passed Consumers Energy, the American Mariner began backing from the dock and out into the Saginaw Bay to turn at Light 12 and head for the lake.
