Saginaw River Passage - August 18th
Olive L. Moore - Lewis J. Kuber were inbound the Saginaw River on Saturday with a split cargo. The pair unloaded a partial cargo at the Bay Aggregates dock in Bay City, before moving upriver and finishing at the Buena Vista dock in Saginaw. The Moore-Kuber were outbound for the lake, late Saturday night.

Saginaw River Passage - August 10th
Olive L. Moore - Lewis J. Kuber called on the Saginaw River early Friday morning, traveling upriver to unload at the Lafarge Stone dock in Saginaw. When finished, the pair turned at Sixth Street and proceeded outbound, stopping at the Wirt Stone Dock n Bay City to wait for weather. Moore - Kuber departed for the lake later in the evening when the winds subsided. At the peak of the blow, sustained winds of 39 knots and gusts of 44.1 knots out of the northeast were recorded.

Saginaw River Passages - August 8th
Calumet completed her unload at the Lafarge Stone Dock in Essexville, late Wednesday morning, backed from the dock and into the Bay Aggregates slip, then turned for the lake. The Dann Marine tug, Colonel, departed the Saginaw River on Tuesday, after safely delivering the USS Edson from the Navy yard in Philidelphia to her new home in Bay City, a long journey and a job extremely well done.

USS Edson Arrival - August 7th
The USS Edson, with the tugs Colonel & Manitou, arrived on the Saginaw River on Tuesday, arriving at the Essexville Wirt Sand and Stone dock around 8:45am. The Edson will be moored here temporarily until her permanent moorings near the Independence Bridge are complete.

Saginaw River Passage - August 5th
The G-Tug Ohio called on the Saginaw River, early Sunday morning, with two barges bound for the Consumers Energy dock in Essexville. The barges are carrying lime slurry tanks and storage silos, constructed by the Pittsburgh Tank Corporation.

Saginaw River Passages - August 3rd
The tug Dorothy Ann and barge Pathfinder called on the Saginaw River on Friday, traveling up to the Bay Aggregates Dock to unload. The pair completed their unload and were outbound for the lake later in the afternoon.
For the month of July, there were 19 commercial vessel passages on the Saginaw River. This is up by three, from the sixteen recorded in July of last year. For the season to date, there have been 70 vessel passages, also up for the same period last year by eighteen passages.
