Saginaw River Passages - August 4th, 5th, & 6th
On August 4th, the duo of Olive L. Moore - Lewis J. Kuber called on the Saginaw river with a split cargo. The pair unloaded at the Burroughs North dock in Essexville and the Lafarge Stone dock in Saginaw. On Monday the 5th, the tug Defiance and barge Ashtabula called on the Bay Aggregates dock in Bay City to unload. The tug Gregory J. Busch, pushing a deck barge, was outbound from the river on Monday. Tuesday the 6th saw the arrival of the Samuel de Champlain - Innovation, who unloaded at the Lafarge Cement dock in Essexville and Indiana Harbor, who unloaded at the Consumers Energy dock in Essexville.

Saginaw River Passage - August 2nd & July Report
Olive L. Moore - Lewis J. Kuber were outbound from the Saginaw River, Friday afternoon after arriving early Friday morning. The pair stopped at the Wirt Stone Dock in Bay City to deliver a partial cargo, then continued upriver to finish at the Wirt Stone Dock in Saginaw.
For the month of July, there were 18 commercial vessel passages on the Saginaw River. This is one less than in 2012 and right on par with the 5-year average for the month of July. For the year to date, there have been 63 commercial vessel passages. This is seven less than in 2012 and fifteen below the five year average for the Saginaw River.

Saginaw River Passages - July 29th & 30th
The tug Mary E. Hannah and her tank barge were outbound from the Bit-Mat dock in Bay City, Monday morning, after unloading there overnight. The tug Champion arrived around the same time at the Consumers Energy dock in Essexville with a barge load of equipment for the power plant. Champion was outbound on Tuesday. The tug Olive L. Moore and her barge, Lewis J. Kuber were inbound Tuesday morning, calling on the Lafarge Stone dock in Saginaw. The pair backed down river Tuesday evening, turned in the Airport Basin and was outbound for the lake.

Saginaw River Passages - July 27th & 28th
Olive L. Moore - Lewis J. Kuber were inbound on the Saginaw River, early Saturday morning, calling on the Lafarge Stone dock in Saginaw. The pair were outbound later in the day. Sunday saw the arrival of the tug Mary E. Hannah and a tank barge, with the pair calling on the Bit-Mat dock in Bay City. The pair were still there late Sunday night.

Saginaw River Passages - July 18th through July 24th
I apologize for the lack of postings lately. It has been a very busy week. To get everyone back up to speed:
Calumet delivered to the Bay City Wirt dock on July 18. She was followed by the Olive L. Moore - Lewis J. Kuber who unloaded at both the Bay City and Saginaw Wirt docks. On July 21, Mississagi called on the Buena vista dock to unload, and the Moore-Kuber were back again on July 24 to again unload at both the Bay City and Saginaw Wirt Stone docks.

Saginaw River Passage - July 17th
American Century was inbound on the Saginaw Bay Wednesday afternoon, stopping at the Consumers Energy dock to unload coal. She backed from the dock Wednesday evening, turning at Light 12 and heading for the lake.

Saginaw River Passage - July 16th
Michipicoten called on the Saginaw River early on Tuesday, unloading a cargo at the Bay Aggregates dock in Bay City. She was followed a short time later by her fleet mate, Calumet, who traveled up the the GM dock in Saginaw to unload. Both vessels were outbound later in the day, Tuesday.
