Saginaw River Passage - May 1, 2024: Mark W. Barker

Mark W. Barker, backing down the Saginaw River from the Wirt Stone Dock in Saginaw, past the Northern Venture who was unloading at ACE/Saginaw Asphalt, under the Zilwaukee Bridge, and to the Airport Turning Basin in Bay City. Barker is the first vessel to use the Airport Turning Basin to turn around in quite some time. Why back down the river? It saves time. Otherwise she would have had continue up the river to the Sixth Street Turning basin, turn, and then come back down past where she departed from. The Captain and crew made good time and made it look easy!
