Saginaw River Passage - May 24, 2024: Saginaw

Saginaw inbound on her namesake river just before midnight on Friday, May 24th. She is seen here at Veteran's Memorial Bridge and passing by the "Uptown at River's Edge" area of Bay City. Saginaw was headed to the Burroughs North-GM Dock in Saginaw to unload a partial cargo, before finishing unloading at the Burroughs North -1st Street Dock.

Interesting to note: Saginaw made passing arrangements with the outbound Northern Venture, passing in the Airport Turning Basin, located just below the James Clements Airport in Bay City. Northern Venture nosed into the basin, allowing Saginaw to pass by upbound. This is a very rare movement as vessels almost never pass in this location. I cannot remember the last time two vessels passed in this location.
